Merging existing labor laws

The Code on Social Security will merge the following laws

  • Employees Compensation Act, 1923
  • Employees Insurance Act, 1948
  • Maternal Benefit Act, 1961
  • Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952
  • Cine Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1981
  • Unorganized Workers’ Social Security act, 2008

Mukhyamantri Septic Tank Safai Yojana

  • the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will deploy 80 trucks along with trained staff to ensure cleaning and maintenance of septic tanks across Delhi
  • Around 45 lakh citizens in the authorised and unauthorised colonies of the capital live in areas that do not have sewer pipelines and depend on septic tanks.
  • a collection of waste from septic tanks in the colonies, ensuring safe disposal of the waste in sewage treatment plants, and deployment of trained staff with safety equipment for cleaning septic tanks

Poshan Abhiyan (2018)
  • the Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition to reduce malnutrition through a multi-sectoral results-based framework
  • targeted reduction of stunting, undernutrition, anemia and low birth weight babies
  • focus on social and behavioral change among parents and for improving linkages between communities and the health systems towards paving the way for a mass movement to promote a transformative change

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

  • maternity benefit programme being implemented in all districts of the country with effect from 1st January, 2017
  • Cash benefits are provided to pregnant women in their bank account directly to meet enhanced nutritional needs and partially compensate for wage loss
  • Beneficiaries receive a cash benefit of Rs. 5,000 in three installments on fulfilling the following conditions:
    • Early registration of pregnancy
    • Ante-natal check-up
    • Registration of the birth of the child and completion of first cycle of vaccination for the first living child of the family.
    • The eligible beneficiaries also receive cash incentive under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY). Thus, on an average, a woman gets Rs. 6,000.
Bharatiya Poshan Krishi Kosh (BPKK) (2019)
  • बेहतर पोषण परिणामों हेतु भारत में 128 कृषि-जलवायु क्षेत्रों में विविध प्रकार की फसलों का भंडार होगा
  • The BPKK will be a repository of diverse crops across agro-climatic zones in India for better nutritional outcomes.
  • PMMVY-CAS is a web based software application that enables tracking the status of each beneficiary under the scheme, resulting in expedited, accountable and better grievance redressal
Janani Suraksha Yojana
  • reducing maternal and infant mortality by promoting institutional delivery among pregnant women
  • safe motherhood intervention under the National Health Mission (NHM)
  • eligible pregnant women are entitled for cash assistance irrespective of the age of mother and number of children, for giving birth in a government or accredited private health facility
  • The scheme also provides performance based incentives to women health volunteers known as Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) for promoting institutional delivery among pregnant women
पांच सूत्रीय कार्रवाई कार्यक्रम (M.S. Swaminathan)
• महिलाओं, विशेषकर गर्भवती महिलाओं तथा बच्‍चों के लिए कैलरी से भरपूर आहार सुनिश्चित करना.
• महिलाओं और बच्‍चों में मुखमरी खत्‍म करने हेतु भोजन में समुचित मात्रा में दालों के रूप में प्रोटीन का शामिल किया जाना सुनिश्‍चित करना.
• विटामिन ए, विटामिन बी, आयरन तथा जिंक जैसे माइक्रो न्‍यूट्रीएंट की कमी के कारण से होने वाली भूख को खत्‍म करना.
• 100 दिन से कम आयु के बच्‍चों वाले गांवों में महिलाओं को पोषण के बारे में जागरुक बनाना.
• स्‍वच्‍छ पीने के पानी की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना.
The five point action programme also aligns with different Sustainable Development Goals such as SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well Being) and SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

The goal is to meet the requirement of what the fast-changing technology in the world expects from youth ten years from now. English medium schools as we have to prepare the students to boldly face and stand up to the requirements of the technology-driven world.
Note: Forward and backward approach is the requirement in the age of artificial intelligence as language might not be hurdle for communication. So there is need of bringing high tech knowledge in local language and let the common man explore and innovate things and sell in the market.
